Having studied a wide variety of media at Cleveland College of Art and Design in Middlesbrough, Jackie then went on to Winchester to study painting.
After a considerable break, (and a move to the beautiful county of North Yorkshire) she has resumed her love of painting.
Over the last 8 years she has used the local landscape as the source of her inspiration.
Her work is constantly developing as she responds to her subject and the materials that she uses. Painting mainly in acrylic (for practical reasons) her work is strong in composition and confident in its use of colour. This is evident throughout, whether her subject is figure drawing, life studies or landscapes.
Jackie exhibits regularly through the North Yorkshire Open Studios, and her work can be seen in many local galleries. Interest has been gathering from galleries further afield in Lincolnshire, Lancashire and Cleveland, with possibilities of exhibiting in County Durham and Tyneside.
Her work is becoming increasingly collectable, with patrons coming from all over the country.
She has a busy program of exhibitions for the year 2010, for details of these go to the events page.
